We're B-A-C-K!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

for those who have missed us, we are finally back!

of course I will tell you all about it, but I am EXHAUSTED. BEYOND EXHAUSTED.

I'll tell you the TOP REASONS Hunter & Jayden are happy to be home:

1. The Wii. Of course. They are in wii denial.

2. Water. They are tired of mom telling them to drink lots of water. She was hoping to avoid mountain sickness but it left us with stopping in EVERY town to potty.

3. Their beds. They are tired of sleeping on the floor!

4. No more constant chap stick.

And finally, just a FEW pictures!

The family ready for mass:

Our 1st night on the road in Amarillo. This is them after being in the car ALL DAY.
Photobucket
What nuts we were stopping by the state line. The wind was blowing about 70 mph.
Photobucket
The mountains seemed so CLOSE
Photobucket
We quickly ran into snow & jumped out of the car to take a picture
Photobucket
It was COLD, SNOWING and the wind was still blowing about 70mph
Photobucket
The roads quickly looked like this
Photobucket
Then this
Photobucket
SNOW was EVERYWHERE! notice the road sign. this later becomes a problem.
Photobucket
We couldn't see much
Photobucket
The roads were HORRIBLE.
Photobucket
The rental car with 4WD was a LIFE SAVER. We had to make it 6 miles UP the mountain.
Photobucket
And we made it.

The roads the next morning.

Our driveway to the house

Soon became a sled run

Jayden getting in on the fun

Poising for the camera

Kreg got in on the fun
Photobucket
As did I
Photobucket
There were lots of rather LARGE snowballs
Photobucket
And snowball fights
Photobucket
We braved the roads and helped push a few cars along the way
Photobucket
To get the boys on ski's

now after calling a week before we left for ski school, I was told NO reservations were needed. once we got there, we found out ski school was BOOKED. what a bummer. so, we helped the boys to ski and Jayden took to the slopes like mad!

They were happy to be there
Photobucket
Photobucket
We ALL were.
Photobucket
Soon to be my favorite picture of him
Photobucket
Even the hard core ski boy needed a break
Photobucket
Hunter and I enjoyed watching everything
Photobucket
Jayden and Dad worked on skiing
Photobucket
But fun was right around the corner
Photobucket
TUBING!
They were ready to go
Photobucket
Hunter is off
Photobucket
Photobucket
Jayden waits his turn
Photobucket
I got in on the action
Photobucket
Hunter tried a few tricks
Photobucket
Jayden couldn't get enough
Photobucket
They even braved riding with dad

YES our trip was a blast! Hunter was hit with mountain sickness the 1st night and Jayden got car sick on our very last trip down the mountain. THANK goodness for Phenergan.

More on the trip to come!

3 days before Christmas

If we can make it through the week, this is what awaits us: The Rock House

sounds easy, right?

the kids are ONLY so full of energy yet it's 20 degrees outside.

Hunter has, what I'm PRAYING, is a cold.

There's packing to be done.

Dishes to be washed.

Laundry to be folded.

Yet, here I am on the computer.

I figured I'd catch up on some pictures.

Since in typical Pearson fashion, we try to do it all!

The Trail of Lights at Monument Hill:

(notice the Guitar Hero shirt. This crazy mom left LG at 4:30AM on the day after Thanksgiving to head to Target to score him Guitar Hero for about 50% off. Only to have him tell me he doesn't want it for Christmas. Well.........we are trying to pump him up about it now!)

And an early Christmas present, thanks to dad. I woke up Saturday morning to my kids opening presents under the tree. I had to make sure I didn't sleep for 4 days and it was Christmas. What the heck? Ask Kreg.
And the Trail of Lights @ Zilker Park.
Photobucket
Photobucket
so this is what we now have to contend with, EVERYWHERE we go.
Photobucket
I guess the joke on mom and all the times I have them stop and take pictures.
Photobucket
Jayden had the best seat in the house for taking pictures.
Photobucket

Photobucket
They convinced Dad to spin with them.
Photobucket
Just looking at it now makes me sick.
